New Zealand Rugby confirms Covid-19 changes to community rugby

New Zealand Rugby has welcomed the Government’s upcoming changes to the Covid-19 Protection Framework.

From 11:59pm on 4 April 2022, vaccine passes will no longer be required for community rugby.

The changes allow community rugby competitions to be available to all participants, regardless of vaccination status.

Under the updated traffic light settings there are no spectator limits to outdoor activities and no requirements for face masks.

Player safety remains a focus and detailed guidance for players returning to rugby safely following a Covid-19 infection is now available at www.nzrugby.co.nz/covid-19.

New Zealand Rugby will provide more detailed guidance on community rugby under the updated traffic light settings in the coming days.
